Yes, it is really strange. It's strange these women treat lifeless dolls as if they were real children and take them places. It's normal for a little girl to take a doll with her and play pretend mommy, but this is very strange behavior for an adult. I'm suprised the psychiatrist didn't see this as odd. At least with a pet, actual care and interaction is needed. With the doll it's totally in your head.
